About WCSitters

Hi, I'm Danielle, a West Chester mom of three and the founder of WCSitters.

WCSitters grew out of a need I felt in my own home. Between three kids and a career in financial services, I learned firsthand how hard it is to find childcare you can truly trust. Daycare never quite fit our family. The rigid hours, the long waitlists, and the schedules that were all or nothing just didn't work for us. What I really wanted was something more flexible and personal: a dependable person my kids adored, someone I had vetted before they ever walked through our door. The more local families I got to know, the more I realized how many parents were looking for the very same thing. With a strong network of families and sitters already around me, starting WCSitters felt like a natural next step.

Much of that network came from a role I held for several years, coordinating childcare for local families part time. I matched households with the right caregivers and guided them through every step of welcoming someone into their home. That experience taught me what parents care about most: trust, reliability, and the peace of mind that comes from knowing the person showing up has been thoroughly checked out.

WCSitters brings all of that together. We connect West Chester and Main Line families with vetted, local college students who pass a background check and a personal interview before they ever join the platform. No guessing, no scrolling through strangers. Just dependable sitters from our own community.

I built WCSitters for families like mine, and I hope it makes your life a little easier, the way I wish something like it had made mine.

Love, Danielle
